Between July 21 and 25, a powerful Southwest Monsoon and Super Typhoon Carina hit the Philippines and brought torrential rains and flooding that impacted almost 5.5 million people.

 

Then as many were still trying to rebuild their lives, Tropical Storm Yagi slammed across Luzon on September 2nd, killing at least 14 people as it triggered more floods and landslides.

The Filipino people need our help.

The Pinoy Festival Alliance Society’s Pinoy Band Aid is a fundraising concert to raise needed funds to help our kababayan. It will be held on October 5th at Chandos Pattison Auditorium Pacific Academy, 10238 168 Street, Surrey, BC V4N 1Z4, Canada.

It is co-organized by the UP Alumni Association of BC, the Bisayan Alliance in BC, the Vancouver Hinirang Eagles Club, the Mixed Media and Music Artist Society of BC and the Philippine Institute of Chartered Accountants - Vancouver.
